BUS 499 Comprehensive Examination Seminar 0 hrs.<br />

Subject matter covers the full spectrum of business administration and its allied areas.<br />

Specifically, the course explores a set of learning objectives as set forth in the 39 hour common<br />

professional core. The core exam will be administered as part of this course.<br />

Prerequisite: Senior standing<br />

Chemistry<br />

CHE 222 Survey of Chemistry 4 hrs.<br />

An overview of the theories and concepts of inorganic chemistry covering atoms, elements,<br />

compounds, equations and elementary quantitative relationships. Selected topics in organic<br />

and biochemistry. Three hours lecture, two hours laboratory per week.<br />

CHE 223 General Chemistry I 4 hrs.<br />

Survey of the general principles of inorganic chemistry. Emphasis on vocabulary, definitions and<br />

problem solving. Three hours lecture, two hours laboratory per week.<br />

Prerequisite: MTH 221 or equivalent<br />

CHE 224 General Chemistry II 4 hrs.<br />

Continuation of CHE 223 with emphasis on the structure and states of matter, periodic table,<br />

classification, solutions, completing and balancing equations and gas laws. Three hours lecture,<br />

two hours laboratory per week.<br />

Prerequisite: CHE 223<br />

Computer Information Systems<br />

CIS 122 Microcomputer Software Applications 3 hrs.<br />

An entry level course which prepares students to use microcomputers to implement software<br />

packages such as word processing, database management, and electronic spreadsheets.<br />

Prerequisite: Ability to type<br />

CIS 221 Programming I 3 hrs.<br />

Fundamental concepts and terminology of data processing including computer organization,<br />

flowcharting, and solution of problems using a computer language.<br />

Prerequisite: Ability to type<br />

CIS 222 Programming II 3 hrs.<br />

An introduction to computer programming using C Programming language; emphasis on<br />

flowcharting techniques, structured programming and problem solving. Integral non-scheduled<br />

laboratory.<br />

Prerequisite: CIS 221<br />
