1. For full-time classification, a student must enroll for a minimum of twelve(12) semester<br />

hours during a regular semester. Students enrolled in summer school, inter-term, or half<br />

semester must enroll for a minimum of one(1) semester hour of credit per week for any<br />

one week during the term.<br />

2. The last day of attendance will be determined by the date the student officially<br />

attritions.<br />

3. Satisfactory progress will be measured by use of the grade point average. In determining<br />

a student's grade point average the following will be included:<br />

a. Grades of all courses attempted whether completed or not.<br />

b. A zero grade will be added for all incomplete courses until the incompletes are<br />

removed.<br />

c. A zero grade will be added for all withdrawals whether passing or not, if the<br />

withdrawal occurs after normal drop and add periods.<br />

d. No bankruptcy policies will be permitted.<br />

4. The Veterans Administration is notified via the United States mail whenever a student<br />

does not progress satisfactorily, whenever conduct falls below the minimum<br />

requirements, or when interruption, termination, dismissal or change occurs.<br />

5. Cases involving extenuating circumstances such as lengthy illnesses, death in the family,<br />

or injury are handled individually by the Registrar. When questions arise relative to<br />

benefits, the Registrar checks with the local Veterans Administration Office.<br />

Statement of Registration Compliance<br />

An amendment to the Military Selective Service Act provides that any male student who must<br />

register with Selective Service and fails to do so is ineligible for student financial assistance<br />

provided under Title IV of the Higher Education Act. The amendment mandates that beginning<br />

with the 1983-84 award year, any male student who fails to register is ineligible for the Federal<br />

Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Federal <strong>College</strong> Work-Study,<br />

Federal Stafford Loan, Federal Perkins Loan, and State Student Incentive Grant Programs.<br />
