been working on the wider concept of food security
& water and sanitation for a number of years in
this region. The coalition already addresses access
to land, access to fi nancial services and credit,
information/coaching and training of farmer cooperatives,
value chain development etc. This project
would provide opportunities for tangible activities like
the construction and rehabilitation of infrastructure,
access to seeds and fertilisers and the creation of
water management committees. Vatovavy Fitovinany
has an enormous agricultural potential and if struc-
