of the ultra-poor<br />
Summary and objectives<br />
To counteract the negative effects of volatile food<br />
prices on the nutritional requirements of the ultrapoor,<br />
and to fi ght extreme poverty and hunger. Over<br />
80% of the target group meet their nutritional needs<br />
and have productive agricultural capacities.<br />
Target groups<br />
7 200 ultra-poor families (28 000 people) in highly<br />
food-insecure areas (min. 15% are female-run<br />
households, and 10% are indigenous people).<br />
Final beneficiaries<br />
58 000 people (additional 30 000 people), by<br />
strengthening their productive capacities through<br />
improved production methods and better access<br />
to agricultural inputs.<br />
