infrastructure less developed than in other regions.<br />

Living conditions are restricted by insuffi cient land<br />

for all, poor access to markets and to government<br />

extensions services, and low levels of the skills and<br />

technologies needed to intensify production. The lack<br />

of markets has also limited off-farm employment. The<br />

objective of the project is to reduce vulnerability of<br />

rural households in the district of Jajarkot, increasing<br />

food productive capacity in 15 locations.<br />
