called L’Avion. Made from 100% Roussanne, the 2007 L’Avion (rated 93/100)<br />
is terrific. <strong>The</strong> 2006 L’Avion (rated 94/100) a blend of 90% Roussanne and<br />
10% Viognier, is even better. Both wines are full-bodied, dry whites offering<br />
copious quantities of honeysuckle, and a hint of that petroleum/terroir-like<br />
character that one finds in a late harvest wine from Alsace. However, these are<br />
dry, beautifully rich, layered, perfumed whites that represent excellent examples<br />
of what can be achieved in California’s Central Coast with top-notch<br />
