2010 brought us a number of prizes and awards related to both the scale
of our operations, as well as the activities that we conducted in many areas.
May 2010 – we are ranked high among the largest and
most valuable Polish companies:
We are number eight in the ranking of “Poland’s Most
Valuable Enterprises by Rzeczpospolita daily” that accompanies
the “500 List”. We were also included in the
top 20 companies with the largest assets (at number 18).
Furthermore, we were number five in the ranking of
companies that improved their net profit most.
In the “Newsweek” and A.T. Kearney ranking of “100
Most Valuable Companies in Poland in 2009” we were
number eight, three positions higher than in the previous
edition of the ranking. We were also among the top
energy companies selected by “Newsweek”. We were
ranked number three among them.
Similar as in 2008 we were number nine in the “Polityka”
weekly’s Top Five Hundred ranking of Poland’s largest
companies. According to the journalists of the weekly
we are the second largest company in the energy and
heat sector. Furthermore, we were seventh among top
50 most profitable enterprises in 2009 and fifth among
the top 50 largest State Treasury companies evaluated.
June 2010 – our Group’s supply companies - Enion Energia
and EnergiaPro Gigawat – were awarded the “Customer
Friendly Company” title. The certificate constitutes a confirmation
of the highest customer service quality.
June 2010 – we were awarded the main prize “Ecolaurel”
for the TAURON EKO Premium product by the Polish
Chamber of Ecology – Poland’s first energy from renewable
sources the origin of which is confirmed by the Polish Energy
Certification Association.
July 2010 – we were honored with the “Master of Business”
prize in the energy and commodities category. Jury
that took the decision to award the prize to us took into account,
apart from the financial results, also, among others,
boldness of the business vision, management proficiency,
ability to deal with adversity, new market conquests and
social responsibility of a business.
September 2010 – we were a two time prize laureate
in the “Nationwide Consumer’s Laurel 2010” competition.
We were awarded the “Golden Laurel” in the “Electricity
supplier – households” category and the “Consumer’s Silver
Laurel” in the “Electricity supplier – an offering for companies”
category.
October 2010 – in the ranking prepared by the “Press”
monthly we were among the top energy brands on the
Polish market. We were ranked second.
October 2010 – “Nowy Przemysł” monthly and portal
wnp.pl awarded us the “New Impulse” prize. They recognized
us for the company’s successful debut on WSE.
October 2010 – we were among eight companies awarded
by the Mayor of Cracow the “Sponsor of Cracow Culture”
statuette. For the activities undertaken in 2009 we were
awarded the “Bronze Sponsor” title.
November 2010 – “Puls Biznesu” journalists awarded us
the “Company of the Quarter” title. The daily honored us
for the company’s financial results, rising stock price, good
recommendations and the announcement of the inclusion
in WIG20. We were also among the analysts’ top ten favorite
companies.
November 2010 – Elektrownia Stalowa Wola was awarded
the “Pearl of the Polish Economy” title for the second
time in a row. The ranking organized by the “Polish Market”
monthly lists the most efficient Polish enterprises. In
the “Great Pearls” category the prize went to Południowy
Koncern Węglowy (PKW).
