6. Project management and exploitation/dissemination plans<br />

6.1 Project management<br />

6.1.1 The Consortium<br />

For the purpose <strong>of</strong> this project a consortium agreement will be established between the <strong>ENEN</strong><br />

<strong>Association</strong>, representing also its members actively involved in the tasks and contractors, and<br />

signed by their administrative <strong>of</strong>ficial with the relevant level <strong>of</strong> authority and mandate. The<br />

purpose <strong>of</strong> this Consortium Agreement is to specify the organisation <strong>of</strong> the work related to<br />

this project between the <strong>ENEN</strong> members and the external partners, to organise the<br />

management <strong>of</strong> the Project, to define the respective rights and obligations <strong>of</strong> the participants,<br />

including, but not limited to, their liability and indemnification, to set out rights and<br />

obligations <strong>of</strong> the participants, supplementing but not conflicting with those <strong>of</strong> the EC<br />

Contract. The participants agree to cooperate pursuant to the terms <strong>of</strong> this Consortium<br />

Agreement in order to execute and fulfill the EC Contract with the EC and perform the tasks<br />

designated in the activities in the present document.<br />

6.1.2 Project Coordinator<br />

The project will be coordinated by the <strong>ENEN</strong> <strong>Association</strong>, in particular by the members <strong>of</strong> its<br />

Board <strong>of</strong> Governors and the <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> the Secretary General for the daily management. The<br />

Board <strong>of</strong> Governors is composed according to the <strong>ENEN</strong> Statutes. The institutions<br />

represented in the <strong>ENEN</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Governors have acquired considerable experience in<br />

nuclear education, training and knowledge management and the qualifications <strong>of</strong> their<br />

representatives as well as their experience with Euratom and EU R&D contracts is beyond<br />

questioning. They have been managing as coordinator the FP5 contract <strong>ENEN</strong> FIR1-CT-<br />

2001-80127, and are currently involved in the management <strong>of</strong> the FI6O-CT-2003-508849<br />

NEPTUNO project. The <strong>ENEN</strong> <strong>Association</strong>, its Board and the <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> the Secretary General<br />

are currently managing the participation <strong>of</strong> seventeen universities to the Integrated Project<br />

FI6W-2005-516520 IP EUROTRANS. The <strong>ENEN</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Governors is responsible for<br />

discharging the duties <strong>of</strong> the <strong>ENEN</strong> <strong>Association</strong> as project coordinator, acting through the<br />

<strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> the Secretary General, which is the interface to the European Commission for all<br />

bilateral and multilateral aspects. The Board represents the project coordinator in all technical<br />

and administrative matters and is responsible to organize the timely delivery <strong>of</strong> contractual<br />

documents, reports and cost statements.<br />

The coordinator shall convene three plenary meetings <strong>of</strong> the consortium partners. The first<br />

one at the start <strong>of</strong> the project, the kick-<strong>of</strong>f meeting (two days), a mid-term meeting (three<br />

days) and a final meeting (two days) in respectively the 13 th and 24 th month <strong>of</strong> the project.<br />

However, meetings shall also be convened upon request <strong>of</strong> 1/3 <strong>of</strong> the consortium partners.<br />

6.1.3 The <strong>ENEN</strong> General Assembly<br />

The General Assembly is composed by representatives <strong>of</strong> all <strong>ENEN</strong> members and meets<br />

according to the <strong>ENEN</strong> statutes. At its 4 th meeting in Pisa on March 3 rd , 2006, the <strong>ENEN</strong><br />

General Assembly agreed to and supported the participation <strong>of</strong> the <strong>ENEN</strong> <strong>Association</strong> as<br />

coordinator <strong>of</strong> the project. Except for the definition <strong>of</strong> the role <strong>of</strong> the <strong>ENEN</strong> <strong>Association</strong> in the<br />

<strong>Annex</strong> I <strong>Description</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Work</strong> - page 17 <strong>of</strong> 124
