Objectives<br />

- To produce a documented survey <strong>of</strong> nuclear education and training programmes outside<br />

universities as compared to the end users needs. To identify gaps, needs and<br />

opportunities for the organisation <strong>of</strong> education and training programmes addressing<br />

pr<strong>of</strong>essionals.<br />

- To organise advanced pilot courses for pr<strong>of</strong>essionals in cooperation with other networks<br />

as referred to under <strong>Work</strong> package 1.<br />

<strong>Description</strong> <strong>of</strong> work<br />

- Evaluate and assess data on education and training courses outside universities against<br />

the end users needs. Identify gaps and opportunities for organising pr<strong>of</strong>essional training<br />

courses and the role <strong>of</strong> the <strong>ENEN</strong> <strong>Association</strong> to provide added value.<br />

- Organise joint pilot training courses for pr<strong>of</strong>essionals in cooperation with other European<br />

networks and End-User associations, for example:<br />

• Neutronics <strong>of</strong> LWR<br />

• Management <strong>of</strong> Radioactive Waste<br />

• Decommissioning<br />

- Organise a zero level pilot session on a course module <strong>of</strong> geological disposal and<br />

underground storage with simultaneous transmission at different course locations.<br />

- Evaluate the potential for the organisation <strong>of</strong> Radiological Protection Training in<br />

collaboration with the FP 6 ENETRAP project.<br />

Deliverables<br />

- D.4.1 Report on the <strong>of</strong>fer <strong>of</strong> education and training outside universities compared to the<br />

End Users needs – Opportunities for <strong>ENEN</strong> and added value.<br />

- D.4.2.1 Joint pilot training course on Neutronics <strong>of</strong> LWR and course evaluation report.<br />

- D.4.2.2 Joint pilot training course on Management <strong>of</strong> Radioactive Waste and course<br />

evaluation report.<br />
