Objectives<br />

- To consolidate the different web sites and databases within the <strong>ENEN</strong> <strong>Association</strong> into a<br />

single communication system with access to other databases by mutual recognition <strong>of</strong><br />

authentication information.<br />

- To establish contact points in all <strong>ENEN</strong> countries for maintaining and updating database<br />

information on education programmes and training courses.<br />

- To produce outputs <strong>of</strong> relevance to the European Nuclear Higher Education Area<br />

- To promote career perspectives in nuclear applications at the career decision stage<br />

(secondary schools)<br />

<strong>Description</strong> <strong>of</strong> work<br />

- Integrate the information on different web sites and databases within the <strong>ENEN</strong><br />

<strong>Association</strong> into a single communication system.<br />

- Develop and implement a semantic web structure to achieve mutual recognition <strong>of</strong><br />

authentication information with other databases, such as the ODIN database.<br />

- Appoint contact points in every country covered by the <strong>ENEN</strong> <strong>Association</strong> for<br />

maintaining and updating databases and information on nuclear education and<br />

pr<strong>of</strong>essional training programmes. Test and evaluate the response time and the<br />

correctness <strong>of</strong> the data.<br />

- Develop one textbook related to nuclear education and one multimedia presentation <strong>of</strong><br />

interest to the general public.<br />

- Identify existing relevant distance/E-learning modules and develop two new products to<br />

the benefit <strong>of</strong> nuclear pr<strong>of</strong>essionals.<br />

- Identify suitable instruments and tools for promoting the choice for nuclear education<br />

and career perspectives at the secondary and bachelor school level and disseminate them<br />

at an international level.<br />

Deliverables<br />

- D.5.1.1 Integrated web sites and communication system providing access to all relevant<br />

databases (NEPTUNO, <strong>ENEN</strong>, courses, training, etc.).<br />
