Collaborative M. Tech Dissertation Work<br />

Two collaborative M. Tech dissertations one in the area of ground penetrating radar antennas and the other<br />

in the area of HPM pulse power radiation in a laboratory scale have been completed at Electronics and<br />

Electrical Communication Engineering Department of IIT, Kharagpur by <strong>SKFGI</strong> researchers.<br />

Two M. Tech ECE students of our Institute have initiated their M. Tech dissertation work in the areas of<br />

Gyrotron sources and antennas for an active denial system and sea-water communication systems,<br />

respectively, in collaboration with CSIR-CEERI, Pilani. We have sponsored the visit of four B. Tech students<br />

to CSIR-CEERI for their exposure to one of the national laboratories.<br />

Projects in the Offing<br />

One of our B. Tech student, Mr. Avishek Das, is due to receive a grant from the Institute of Engineers, India<br />

(Kolkata) to work in the area of impulse radiating antennas, under the supervision of Mr. Subhradeep Pal.<br />

The same funding agency is likely to provide a research grant to Mr. Pal who has submitted a project<br />

proposal in the area of TEO based adaptive DPLL demodulator to be carried out under the supervision of<br />

Professor (Dr.) B. N. Biswas.<br />
