This is conceptually depicted in the adjoining picture that I conceived: “Engineering Tree in Blossom” with flowers of requirements and unwanted and undesired ills are nipped in the bud. More importantly, the picture shows how SKFGI is committed to nourishing this Engineering Tree! Let us not forget that, though we have missed the Industrial Revolution and perhaps are still unable to utilize the full benefit of Information and Knowledge Revolution because of our late participation, we should not miss the Technical Education (Engineering and Management) Revolution which began during the end of the 20th century and is sweeping across the globe. It is heartening to see that SKFGI is engaged in educating their students in tune with the needs of the swinging 21st century. This is happening as we are promoting a symbiosis between undergraduate and postgraduate education as has been the usual practice in USA, UK, Japan, France and Germany, at least in the leading Institutions of these countries. The high quality faculty and creative activity of the postgraduate division would enrich the quality of undergraduate teaching and build proper academic attitudes among the undergraduate students. Incidentally, we are executing MBA and M. Tech programmes along with undergraduate programmes in engineering. This is an urgent need of the present century. Moreover, in a technical academia, it is also important to create a culture of job hunting. This will happen if we can synergize Engineering and Management Education, because the former develops the technology for the benefit of the society and the latter takes it to the society. All this is depicted pictorially in the adjoining figure. Wading through the following pages of this Prospectus, I suppose, will give you a glimpse of our activities in support of what I narrated above. However, I would welcome your personal visit to our campus for auditing and enjoying the feast of activities that we are carrying out here at SKFGI. Mission w To follow Mark Twain's philosophy on college education: "Cauliflower is nothing but a cabbage with a college education".
