Walking School Bus
An organized, adult supervised pedestrian route to
school. The “bus” travels along a designated route
and stops at pre-determined locations to “pick up”
students.

responsible for state-owned transportation facilities
and for the interstate highways in Washington.
Wayfinding
The use of well-placed signs and directions to
facilitate pedestrian and bicyclist awareness of
connections between transportation facilities.
