DTEI has provided the <strong>City</strong> with a<br />

crash database and details <strong>of</strong> locations<br />

where the types and numbers <strong>of</strong><br />

crashes have satisfied the Black Spot<br />

Funding criteria (Federal and State<br />

Black Spot Program).<br />

The <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>West</strong> <strong>Torrens</strong> has been<br />

very pro-active in previous years in<br />

addressing the crash issues. Many <strong>of</strong><br />

the locations identified as potential<br />

Black Spot sites have already been<br />

investigated and/or addressed by the<br />

<strong>City</strong> in previous years.<br />

The improvements under these<br />

programs include:<br />

• James Melrose Road<br />

– Federal program<br />

• Mooringe Avenue – Federal program<br />

• Mooringe Avenue/James Melrose<br />

Road – Federal program<br />

• George Street/Dew Street<br />

– State program<br />

• George Street/Albert Street<br />
