• The value of total trade in goods and services
increased 7.3 per cent to $669.2 billion.
• In volume terms, total trade increased
1.7 per cent in 2013-14 compared with 2012-
13
– since 2008-09, total trade values have
increased by an average of 4.4 per cent
per annum while volumes increased
5.2 per cent per annum.
• The trade balance recorded a trade deficit of
$6.9 billion in 2013-14, a fall of $11.9 billion
on the deficit of $18.7 billion in 2012-13.
