• The value of total trade in goods and services<br />

increased 7.3 per cent to $669.2 billion.<br />

• In volume terms, total trade increased<br />

1.7 per cent in <strong>2013</strong>-<strong>14</strong> compared with 2012-<br />

13<br />

– since 2008-09, total trade values have<br />

increased by an average of 4.4 per cent<br />

per annum while volumes increased<br />

5.2 per cent per annum.<br />

• The trade balance recorded a trade deficit of<br />

$6.9 billion in <strong>2013</strong>-<strong>14</strong>, a fall of $11.9 billion<br />

on the deficit of $18.7 billion in 2012-13.<br />
