Discrimination
DiScrimination
means treating someone in a
less favourable way than another
person in a similar situation.
inDirect DiScrimination
to be neutral.
Discrimination can be direct,
indirect, or by association.
Direct
DiScrimination
treated less favourably
than another person in
a similar situation.
example: a woman is
paid less than a man for
doing the same job.
example: an employer insists
that everyone applying for a job
needs a driving licence, although
this is not essential to the job. This
would disadvantage some people
with disabilities.
favourably than others because they are
associated with someone else.
is discriminated against because he is
married to a Catholic.
