KHB solution containing 25 µM Deferoxamine and 5 µM DETC was used to prepare the spin probe, 1-hydroxy-3-methoxycarbonyl-2,2,5,5- tetramethylpyrrolidine (CMH). The solutions were prepared fresh just before use. Filtered 0.9% NaCl was used to prepare 1.6 mM FeSO4 and 3.2 mM DETC solutions for nitric oxide measurements.
