NELSON & ABEL TASMAN
NEW ZEALAND
picture perfect landscapes
Full of artists, sculptors and
potters, Nelson is New Zealand’s
creative capital. Thanks to the
resulting amounts of tie-dye and
a glorious coastal palette, it’s
also the most liberal and liveable
of NZ towns. Daubed in sunshine
and gateway to the country’s best
loved national park, the inspiration
is clear. Abel Tasman’s miles of
walking trails, endless curves of
golden beach and brilliant green
waters are a world-famous hikers
paradise (see page p.161)
