CHOOSING THE RIGHT POLICY<br />

When choosing a policy, it’s really important to<br />

understand what it does and doesn’t cover. While<br />

some policies may appear to be the same, quality<br />

cover is more than just high policy limits.<br />

A good policy will provide cover for more than<br />

just your luggage - it will provide cover for the<br />

costs of you having to unexpectedly cancel<br />

or amend your trip, emergency evacuations,<br />

transport, accommodation and medical costs<br />

should you become ill or get injured overseas.<br />

Most importantly, it will give you access to 24<br />

hour emergency assistance should you require<br />

evacuation for medical treatment.<br />

Make sure you check policy luggage item limits;<br />

you might find that you need to purchase<br />

additional cover for valuable items (e.g. a new<br />

camera). Also, check what excess you will be<br />

liable for in the event you need to make a claim -<br />

all our international policies give you a choice of<br />

excess, including a $nil option, which means no<br />

excess will apply.<br />

Policy extensions<br />

You can see all four corners of the globe on the<br />

one policy and if you decide to stay longer, you can<br />

purchase a new policy for up to 12 months through<br />

<strong>STA</strong> <strong>Travel</strong> prior to expiry of your original policy.<br />

Adventure activities<br />

We automatically cover loads of adrenalin<br />

pumping activities, which means you can<br />

experience heaps more with less stress! You<br />

are also automatically covered for skiing,<br />

snowboarding, moped riding and motorcycle<br />

riding without any additional cost.<br />

Working holidays and studying abroad<br />

Planning on working or studying overseas?<br />

No problem - we cover working holidays and<br />

overseas study.<br />

TOUR CANCELLATION<br />

If your selected tour is cancelled due to<br />

insufficient numbers, we’ll cover amendment<br />

fees to help rearrange your trip and get you on<br />

your way.<br />

Cover for existing medical conditions<br />

We cover a range of pre-existing medical<br />

conditions at no additional charge. A medical<br />

assessment process is available for customers<br />

with conditions or circumstances that fall<br />

outside the specified criteria for automatic<br />

cover. If accepted, other pre-existing medical<br />

conditions will be covered by paying an<br />

additional premium.<br />

$100 or $250 excess.<br />

RENTAL VEHICLE INSURANCE EXCESS COVER<br />

Hiring a car or a campervan? Don’t want to pay<br />

a massive excess if you have an accident? You<br />

can purchase $5,000 of Rental Vehicle Insurance<br />

Excess Cover by paying an additional premium.<br />

ANNUAL MULTI-TRIP COVER<br />

If you plan on getting away a few times over the<br />

next 12 months, you might like to consider this<br />

great value cover - a 12 month policy that covers<br />

any number of trips (you choose your maximum<br />

number of days per trip).<br />

TOP TIPS<br />
