out to explore this lovely resort, with its man-made swimming lagoon
and fine selection of boutique stores, restaurants and lively bars.
Airlie Beach
As the name suggests, this is our ultimate way to see the very best
of the Whitsundays, and it kicks off today as you check-in to your
Airlie Beach / Great Barrier Reef / Airlie Beach
Right here in the Whitsundays is where the Great Barrier Reef is at
its very best, so head out today by fast, modern cruising vessel to a
fixed pontoon at the outer reef. Spend the day fish-spotting from the
semi-submersible or underwater viewing chamber, or jump right in
amongst it with the included snorkelling gear. (L)
Airlie Beach / Whitehaven Beach / Airlie Beach
If yesterday led you to think the Whitsundays might be one of the
most beautiful places you’ve ever seen, today those suspicions
are confirmed with a day’s sailing aboard a luxurious catamaran to
Whitehaven Beach, which boasts so-white-it-hurts-your-eyes sands.
Don’t forget your sunglasses! A barbecue lunch is included. (L)
Airlie Beach / Hamilton Island
Transfer on the local ferry across to Hamilton Island which, despite
being one of the Whitsundays’ most developed resorts, still features
unspoilt natural park trails amongst its man-made attractions.
You have two free days to make the most of the island; visit the
Australian Wildlife Park, soak up the rays on Catseye Beach and head
down to the marina to explore the many shops, bars and restaurants.
Hamilton Island
Your tour comes to an end today, so make your own way to the
airport or enjoy more free time on Hamilton before heading back to
Airlie Beach on one of the regular ferry services (not included).
06-07
Airlie Beach / Whitehaven Beach / Airlie Beach
Today, you’re off for a day’s sailing adventure aboard a luxurious (and
bright purple!) catamaran, dropping anchor in idyllic bays to enjoy
swimming and snorkelling, before visiting pristine Whitehaven Beach
on uninhabited Whitsunday Island. An exceptional day out! (L)
Airlie Beach / Daydream Island / Airlie Beach
Enjoy a day on fabulous Daydream Island. See the incredible ‘Living
Reef Lagoon’ (with daily shark and stingray feeding), wander the
island’s walking trails, laze by the swimming pools or play a round of
mini-golf on what has to be one of Australia’s most unique courses!
Lunch vouchers for AUD $20 are included for the Bakehouse. (L)
Airlie Beach / Great Barrier Reef (Reefsleep) / Hamilton
Head out for a very special overnight stay out at a pontoon at the
Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy snorkelling, scuba diving (optional) and the
underwater viewing chamber - then say goodbye to the day trippers
before spending the night here with a maximum of 12 guests. Sleep
under the stars in a cosy ‘swag’ or in a double room. Transfer to
Hamilton the next afternoon after a second day at the Reef. (B, 2L, D)
Hamilton Island
Enjoy a free day to explore the beaches, swimming pools, hiking trails
and watersports options available on Hamilton Island, and head down
to the marina for a great choice of wining and dining. Tour concludes
on Day 7; head to the airport or back to Airlie (ferry not included).
