Whitehaven Beach, The Whitsundays<br />
Sydney<br />
Arrive into Sydney at any time and settle in. On Day 2, explore the city with a walk along the bustling<br />
harbour before heading to the iconic Sydney Opera House. After an early lunch, a former America’s<br />
Cup racing yacht will take you for a stunning two-hour sail on Sydney’s magnificent harbour. (B, L)<br />
Byron Bay / Whitsunday Islands / Airlie Beach<br />
Fly to beautiful Byron Bay, where you can enjoy a walk to the Cape Byron lighthouse. On Day 4, meet<br />
up with a local surf legend for a lesson, then stretch out with an included yoga class. The rest of the<br />
day is free for exploring or for optional activities such as sea kayaking or whale watching. On Day<br />
5, travel to Brisbane for the short flight to Proserpine and a transfer to Airlie Beach, the gateway to<br />
the Whitsunday Islands and your base for the next two nights. After free time to relax in this tropical<br />
paradise, jump on a yacht for a full day of sailing, snorkelling and swimming around the islands, with<br />
an included lunch, snorkelling equipment and a visit to the idyllic Whitehaven Beach. (3B, L)<br />
Cairns / Port Douglas<br />
Hop on a train through the beautiful sugar cane countryside and rainforest on the way to Cairns.<br />
Check out the buzzing town – make sure to see its sparkling saltwater lagoon before opting for a<br />
group dinner and drinks overlooking the marina. On Day 8, drive along stunning coastal roads to Port<br />
Douglas before meeting local Aboriginals in the Daintree Rainforest. Learn about their rich culture,<br />
traditions and survival techniques, and try your hand at spear fishing. On Day 9, don’t miss your<br />
chance to snorkel on the techni-coloured Great Barrier Reef, the world’s largest coral reef. (2B, L)<br />
Cairns / Uluru / Kata Tjuta / Alice Springs<br />
Catch a flight from Cairns to Uluru, in the heart of the Red Centre, and enjoy a free afternoon to<br />
explore the facilities at the Yulara Resort. On Day 11, drink in the spellbinding views of Ayers Rock<br />
at sunrise before taking part in an interpretative walk around the base of the monolith. Get a better<br />
understanding by visiting the Aboriginal Cultural Centre to learn about local beliefs and traditions<br />
through artistic impression. Day 12 has you heading out to Kata Tjuta, where you can enjoy a walk<br />
through the Valley of the Winds before driving to Alice Springs for an overnight stay. (3B, L)<br />
Adelaide / Barossa Valley<br />
Fly to graceful and elegant Adelaide and enjoy an orientation walk around the city. On Day 14, you<br />
can opt for a full-day excursion to Kangaroo Island, a pristine wilderness that offers protection to<br />
native Australian animals. See sea lions basking on white beaches, koalas snoozing in the trees and<br />
kangaroos hopping through the lush forests. On Day 15, travel to world-renowned Barossa Valley,<br />
one of Australia’s oldest wine regions for wine tasting opportunities and a relaxed lunch. (4B, L)<br />
Robe / Grampians National Park<br />
The next destination is Robe; a historic seaside resort at the southern end of Guichen Bay. Check out<br />
its range of museums and historic walking trails or take a stroll to the pier to see fishermen bring in<br />
their day’s catch. On Day 18, visit Grampians National Park which is home to kangaroos, emus, koalas<br />
and a host of birds. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife while enjoying a walk at McKenzie Falls and the<br />
Balconies, a formation that boasts incredible views of the unspoilt natural landscapes below. (2B, D)<br />
Great Ocean Road / Warrnambool / Melbourne<br />
After a morning visit to an Aboriginal cultural centre, it’s time to hit the famous Great Ocean Road<br />
to the seaside town of Warrnambool. On Day 20, see the magnificent Twelve Apostles and wander<br />
through the lush rainforests of Great Otway National Park before reaching Melbourne for a chance to<br />
experience the city’s restaurants and nightlife. Depart any time after breakfast on Day 21. (3B)<br />
