Hit the gas and head up the aptly named Sunshine Coast to Hervey Bay. Catch the
catamaran to Fraser Island for two days of sand dunes, coloured cliffs, freshwater
lakes and rainforest walking tracks. Day 4, return to the mainland and drive towards
Rockhampton for a unique famstay - a real Aussie experience! Continue north, stopping
en route at Eungella before arriving at Airlie Beach, the springboard for swashbuckling
Whitsunday sailing adventures. Tick off Townsville and Mission Beach, exploring
the waterfalls, crater lakes and volcanic formations of the Atherton Tablelands on
Day 10. Arrive into Port Douglas, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, on Day 12.
Scuba, snorkel or sail over the Coral Sea. A trip to Daintree Rainforest is also highly
recommended. Day 14, drive south to Cairns where your journey ends.

Departing from Perth, drive north to Geraldton, perched on a breathtaking coastline.
Known as ‘Sun City’ it has an average of 8 hours’ sunshine a day and a world-leading
rock lobster fishery. The following morning, journey on to Monkey Mia. Spend an
unforgettable couple of days enjoying beautiful scenery, sparkling waters and spotting
its famous dolphins. Explore Shark Bay on Day 3 then drive south to Kalbarri on Day
4. A favoured holiday playground, its blessed with pristine beaches, towering coastal
cliffs, soaring river gorges and protected swimming bays. Continue south to the laidback
fishing village of Cervantes and Namburg National Park on Day 6. The gateway to
the Pinnacles, relax on white sand beaches and paddle in turquoise waters teeming with
marine life. Your final day, travel to the vibrant city of Perth where your self-drive ends.
