MILFORD, DOUBTFUL & STEWART ISLAND
NEW ZEALAND
sounds of silence & southern lights
More dramatic than an All Blacks v.
Wallabies world cup final, welcome
to the mighty fiordlands. Scoured
by ancient glaciers into giant mistswirling
peaks, tumbling falls and
glassy waters, choose from day or
overnight Milford Sound cruises or
seasonal overnight boats to remote
Doubtful Sound. And while we’re on
otherworldly landscapes, why not
journey to the continent’s edge and
Stewart Island – one of the only
places on Earth where you can see
the celestial Southern Lights.
This is a Milford Sound cruise with a bit of a difference. And not just
because cruise is spelt with a ‘z’. Sail through one of the most spinetingling
places on Earth on board the Maiden of Milford, a modern
and uncrowded catamaran with a laid-back vibe. Staffed by a fun
friendly crew, grab a smoothie from the ‘Pita Pit’ and park yourself
on one of three viewing decks, getting up close to waterfalls, wildlife
and rainforest as you sail out to the Tasman Sea and back.
catamaran, informative commentary, complimentary tea/coffee. Snacks can be
purchased on board Tour Code: CMSJCM
Queenstown, pass Lake Wakatipu on one of the most scenic drives
to Milford Sound and board your cruise before overnighting at the
unqiue Gunn’s Camp. Next day, hike up the Key Summit Track and
catch the ferry to Stewart Island. Day 3, explore the island and do
a spot of fishing before returning to Queenstown.
