Darwin / Kakadu National Park / Litchfield National Park<br />

From Darwin, head to the Mary River Wetlands to spot crocs and<br />

birdlife on an included 90-minute cruise along the Mary River. After<br />

lunch, admire Aboriginal rock art in Ubirr. Day 2, grab your swimmers<br />

for Gunlom Falls. Climb to the top, swim at the base and relax in the<br />

infinity pool with views of the Arnhem Land escarpment. (B, 2L, 2D)<br />

Adelaide to Wilmington<br />

Leave Adelaide and head through the Clare Valley, one of Australia’s<br />

oldest wine regions. See the magnificent Flinders Ranges and stop<br />

for a tasty lunch before hiking up Alligator Gorge for grand views of<br />

the ocean and surrounding ranges and plains. Spend a night camping<br />

under the stars among the red gum trees of Stony Creek.<br />

Litchfield National Park / Darwin / Katherine / Banka Banka<br />

Spend today dabbling in the waterfalls, spring-fed streams and<br />

rugged sandstone escarpments of Litchfield National Park. The<br />

following day, adventure through the ‘Territory’ en route to Alice<br />

Springs. Spend the afternoon at the picturesque Katherine Gorge.<br />

Off to Banka Banka on Day 5, stop in Mataranka for a soak in the<br />

thermal pools and a bevvie in the Daly Waters Pub. (2B, 3L, 2D)<br />

Banka Banka / Alice Springs<br />

Pass Tennant Creek, Devil’s Marbles and the Tropic of Capricorn<br />

before arriving into Alice Springs for two days exploring. (B, L)<br />

Alice Springs / Kings Canyon / Uluru<br />

Leaving Alice Springs, head to Kings Creek Station for a walk around<br />

the Watarrka (Kings Canyon). Enjoy breathtaking views of the gorge<br />

before heading to the renowned water hole of the Garden of Eden.<br />

Drive to ‘The Rock’ on Day 10 and stroll around the base. (B, 2L, 2D)<br />

Uluru / Coober Pedy / Wilmington / Adelaide<br />

Up early, soak up a magnificent Uluru sunrise then hike the Kata<br />

Tjuta and Valley of the Winds. Passing striking landscapes, Coober<br />

Pedy is your next stop to visit a kangaroo orphanage. Day 13, tour a<br />

glimmering opal mine and travel on to Flinders Rangers. Spend your<br />

last day hiking up Dutchman’s Stern and sipping wine in the Clare<br />

Wilmington / Coober Pedy<br />

Rise early and drive to Coober Pedy, the opal capital of the world.<br />

Enjoy a tour of an opal mine and view Coober Pedy’s underground<br />

attractions. Visit Josephine’s Kangaroo Orphanage and sleep<br />

underground like the locals!<br />

Coober Pedy / Uluru<br />

Today is all about the journey to Uluru (Ayers Rock). At ‘The Rock’,<br />

set up camp and enjoy a breathtaking sunset.<br />

Uluru<br />

Spend today at Uluru. Walk around its base and learn about the local<br />

Aboriginal people at the Cultural Centre before tucking into lunch<br />

back at the campground. The rest of your day is free.<br />

Uluru & Kata Tjuta / Kings Creek Station<br />

Breakfast this morning is at Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) followed by a<br />

walk of the majestic Valley of the Winds cutting through the uniquely<br />

domed rock formations. After lunch, take a drive to the swimming<br />

pool at Kings Creek Station and your overnight camping stop.<br />

Kings Canyon / Alice Springs<br />

Walk around Watarrka (Kings Canyon) admiring views of the gorge,<br />

sandstone walls and the depths of the canyon. Visit the renowned<br />

Garden of Eden before your final stop, Alice Springs.<br />
