ITINERARY
Cairns
Arrive in Cairns and make your way to your accommodation where
you’ll meet new friends and have time to explore the town.
Tully River
It’s off to the Tully River today for a rafting experience of a lifetime.
Fly down grade four rapids as this thrilling sport gets your heart
racing. Each raft is controlled by a highly trained river guide, who’ll
teach you the correct techniques during the day and share with you
the history and wonders of this magnificent landscape.
Fitzroy Island
From rapids to the reef, you’ll go from speed to calm as you embrace
one of nature’s finest creations. With beautiful unspoilt, uncrowded
beaches, Fitzroy Island is perfect for soaking up the sun, swimming
in pristine waters and snorkelling with the stunning array of sea life.
The highlight of the day will be the guided sea kayaking tour which is
a tranquil way to see the beauty of the reef and Fitzroy Island.
Kuranda
Rise up, literally, at dawn with an amazing balloon flight, floating
peacefully above the Cairns Highlands. Then, spend some time in the
rainforest town of Kuranda, famous for its arts and crafts before
returning to Cairns via Skyrail over the canopy of the rainforest – a
journey you’ll never forget.
Great Barrier Reef / Cairns
Day 5, it’s off to the Great Barrier Reef on Passions of Paradise – a
modern, 25m sailing maxi cat. You’ll make your way to two parts
of the reef and Michaelmas Cay, where you’ll have the chance to
don snorkelling gear and jump in. Morning and afternoon tea plus a
tropical lunch is included. Day 6, your tour comes to a close.
ITINERARY
Cairns / Tully River
You’re off early this morning straight into action as you head out to
the Tully River for an adventure-fuelled day. Navigate your way down
the huge rapids to get the adrenalin pumping, before coming back to
conquer the lower part of the river after a BBQ lunch on the riverside.
There are over 40 rapids to fly down with your expert guide to show
you the way, set amongst surrounding ancient rainforest.
Cairns Highlands
Enjoy a more peaceful and sedate day, as you head to the
picturesque Cairns Highlands waterfall circuit. Visit stunning lakes,
mesmerising waterfalls and splendid rainforest with plenty of
swimming opportunities, followed by a lunch in the quaint, little
village of Yungaburra before heading back to Cairns in the evening.
Great Barrier Reef
No stay in Cairns would be complete without a trip to the truly
remarkable Outer Reef. You will spend five hours visiting two outer
reef locations where you can swim and snorkel with the exotic,
colourful reef fish and coral. If you prefer, you can also see the reef
life from a semisubmersible or underwater observatory. After a BBQ
lunch, you can add in an optional intro or certified scuba dive.
Cape Tribulation / Cairns
On your final day, head north to Cape Tribulation where you’ll stop
at the Wildlife Habitat to see native wildlife and feed the kangaroos.
Expect to see crocodiles as you take in the Daintree River Cruise,
then explore the oldest rainforest in the world which is packed with
stunning scenery, on a guided walk. Spend the afternoon relaxing
on the white sandy beach at Cape Tribulation – the only place in
the world where the reef meets the sea. Travel back to Cairns where
things wrap up.
