Ithen created a series of paintings aboutthese plastic objects. This got me backinto painting again, almost accidentally.The public art projects never went forwardbecause of financial difficulties on the partof the companies, but in the meantime Ire-entered the realm of paint.As a direct result of painting for anextended period of time, I began a seriesof paintings reflecting my daily walkaround the lighthouse here in Byron Bay.Essentially I ended up painting seascapesand landscapes of beaches that I had spentthe previous 12-14 years picking plasticsup off. It was an interesting turn of events.123
