Acynical artist will assume that the generalpublic will only see rubbish. This notion isthe only rubbish here! There is no reasonwhy an artist should reduce the value oftheir work because they are using thesematerials or because they are paintingpictures about issues that confront thegeneral public head on. I feel passionateabout defending the artist’s freedom tobe a social commentator, to reflect uponprevailing political or spiritual dilemmaswithout being categorized as a political/eco/feminist artist.
