This provision may also include the purchase of professional developmentmaterials (books and periodical allowances) and the payment of professional dues.D. InspirationalThat each local church assist their pastor and associates in attending districtassembly, Family Camp Meeting, conventions, and the annual retreat for pastors andtheir spouses and that these meetings not be considered vacations.FamilySpecial Recognition1. Each church is encouraged to recognize all members of the parsonagefamilies at appropriate times of the year: Pastor Appreciation Month, birthdays,anniversaries, Christmas, etc. Special attempts should be made to show appreciationand express love to the pastors and families at all times.2.
