1 . . Oil-synthetic resin lacquer
This type of lacquer contains organic and synthetic dissolved in approx.
50-60% mild solvents. After the evaporation of the solvent and an oxidative
curing process all that remains is a lacquer coating that does not release
any harmful substances into the air. This type of lacquer too is free of
formaldehyde.
LT-Export (Art. No. 11011019)
Product description: LT-Export is based on high-quality, oxidative-curing
urethane-alkyd-binders and a top-class one-component sealant for parquet.
LT-Export contains relatively mild solvents and its binders are based on
organic materials. This is why a pleasant, herbal odour is noticeable during
its curing process and for the time shortly after. The good lacquering
characteristics, the resistance as well as the mild setting are reasons for
what makes this type of lacquer is an interesting alternative.
Application: 2 or 3 coats are applied using the roller. Slight sanding
between the coating cycles generates a maximum optical appearance. This
intermediate sanding is necessary after 15-18 hours in order to guarantee
a perfect adhesion. Resin swelling on softwoods like fir, spruce or pine
may occur which will lead to longer drying periods and optical disturbance.
Sealants of this category contain solvents easily loosening wax remains in
pours and joints. Especially on initially waxed floors this will lead to much
longer drying periods, gloss level irregularities and adhesion reduction (in
some cases even to completely detachable lacquer). In this case it is best
to choose another lacquering method.
Processing temperature: Minimum floor and lacquer temperature 15°C
(59°F). Minimum room temperature 18°C (64°F).
Drying: Accessible after approx. 10-12 hours at 23°C (73°F) and 50%
relative air humidity. When lacquering previously waxed floors the
drying process can take a lot longer. Should this have happened, it is
necessary that the over-lacquering is not carried out until the sealing has
completely dried and is non-adhesive. In case of insufficient ventilation,
low temperature or excessive application of lacquer the drying process
may take considerably longer. The floor should not be covered with carpet,
exposed to heavy loads or cleaned until the lacquer has had 8-10 days to
dry.
Amount applied: Depending on the type of floor and application method
approx. 100 ml/m 2 or 10 m 2 per litre.
Special note: Soaked cloths, pads and other application materials must be
kept in closed boxes. Oil/wax in touch with saw dust, cloths and the like
should be moistened and put aside in a closable container or disposed of
in a non-flammable disposal – otherwise fire hazardous.
Storage: Transport and store cool and dry. It can be kept for 12 months as
long as the container remains unopened.
GISCODE: KH1.
1 .5 Joint filler
Joint fillers are used for parquet floors sanded down to the wood.
It is designed to evenly and as well as the best possible fill joints,
broken-off edges, border areas etc. in order to achieve a uniform
surface appearance.
1 .5.1 MIX & FILL (Art. No. 11011092)
All-purpose water-containing joint putty solution for the production of a putty
compound for joints.
Application area
MIX & FILL , combined with saw dust, is used before the last cycle
of parquet sanding. This compound is suited for filling joints and
repairing small holes in the surface. Only use clean and fine saw dust.
With MIX&FILL it is possible to produce putty with a compatible colour
tone for every type of wood.
