2. PARQUET SELECTION CRITERIA
Wood from
well managed
forests.
Please see Ch. 4 for more
information about our ecological
standards.
2. Parquet selection criteria: price category
Naturally, the budget available will play an essential role when it comes
to choosing wooden flooring. We have divided our range into three price
categories in order to make your preliminary selection easier.
Because the product groups contain various types of wood and sometimes
different patterns it is not always possible to definitively allocate the products
to one of the price categories. The divisions are therefore only intended as an
approximate price guide.
the requirements and standards of sustainable cultivation of wood-resources.
2.5 Parquet selection criteria: Health standards
n Bauwerk parquet is a top-quality European product and meets the highest
requirements towards health standards.
the air. This makes it suitable for sensitive rooms, e.g. Kindergartens and
bedrooms.
n Bauwerk parquet does not emit any volatile organic compounds (VOC)
into the air (except for naturally occurring substances in wood).
n Only the floating laid 3-layer parquet floors Maxipark, Tripark and Slimwood
contain a minimal amount of formaldehyde in the adhesives between
the layers. The quantity of formaldehyde is, however, well below the E1-
