10.2. Bauwerk EASY-CLEAN factory oiling
The hard wood surface of this kind of prefinished parquet has been treated
several times with a special hard-oil, Bauwerk EASY-CLEAN factory oil.
This special oil is cured by a combination of special UV-lighting and natural
oxidation of the oils. The EASY-CLEAN hard oil is a special UV consists
mainly of natural ingredients. Treatment with Bauwerk EASY-CLEAN factory
oil results in deep impregnation of the wood and at the same time forming
a hard dry film that protects its surface against wear. This curing process is
completed during the production process: hence when the product is being
installed, there is no subsequent pollution of the room’s air by volatile toxic
components. However, initially there may be an odour from the natural oils
and waxes used in this production process.
There are the following two options with EASY-CLEAN:
• EASY-CLEAN colourless
• EASY-CLEAN white
Advantages of Bauwerk EASY-CLEAN factory oil:
• Formation of a layer offering optimal protection and wear resistance – the
layer provides protection of the parquet for a long period against wear.
• Furthermore, this wear layer guarantees reduced soiling of the surface,
which has a positive effect by lessening the time in general cleaning and
care.
• Excellent resistance to liquids (water, chemical solvents)
• No indoor air pollution from noxious volatile components, since the oil has
been completely cured in the factory production by UV-radiation and further
oxidation.
• Allows diffusion.
• Partial repair is possible without problems with EASY-CLEAN.
• Joints and gaps can be subsequently protected with the first care treatment
(EASY-CLEAN care oil).

Important notice:
Not all parquet surfaces should be masked with adhesive tapes (risk of
ripping of oil and wood fibres when removing tape, which will lead to
different colour shades and irregular shininess).
This is especially to be taken into account when working with oiled and
colour-stained surfaces.
