6.2. Bauwerk Tripark<br />
Application area and specific product characteristics<br />
Prefinished shipdeck floor boards with tongue and groove for floating laid<br />
flooring. Inexpensive parquet with controlled Bauwerk –quality.<br />
Construction<br />
• Three solid layers bonded to each other<br />
• Top layer made from sawed lamellae<br />
• Middle layer made from massive poplar wood strips<br />
• Rear panel made from veneer<br />
• All strips have a highly precise tongue and groove<br />

Surface treatment<br />
• Prefinished lacquering with UV-light cured acrylate sealant. This lacquer<br />
is free of solvents and formaldehyde and very resistant to abrasion. It<br />
preserves the woods natural characteristics.<br />
Subfloor requirements<br />
The subfloor must be dry, clean, level and solid enough. See our subfloor<br />
requirements in Ch. 7 and the Bauwerk laying instructions in Ch. 8.2.<br />

Installation<br />
Bauwerk Tripark is a floating laid flooring. The planks are installed on an<br />
insulating underlay (see Ch. 13) without connection to the subfloor and are<br />
PVAC glued together at the tongue and groove. A 2% loss/clipping is to be<br />
taken into account when laid lengthwise. If the parquet is laid diagonally or<br />
with a pattern one must expect an 8-10% loss/clipping. An expansion joint<br />
must be integrated should the floor exceed a width of 12m or if a special<br />
ground plan requires so. Beneath the floorboards a footfall and room sound<br />
insulation underlay is necessary. If desired, the floor boards are also full-area<br />
bonded to the subfloor by specialists (see Ch. 8).<br />
Floor heating and heat transmission resistance<br />
Bauwerk 14mm parquet is suitable with underfloor heating (see Ch. 7.2).<br />
Heat transmission resistance without insulation underlay approx. 0,10 m²K/W.<br />
Maintenance and care<br />
If required the floor can be vacuum cleaned or wiped with a well wringed<br />
cloth. Too much water damages the wooden flooring.<br />
Packaging<br />
• Edge protection made from corrugated cardboard (100% recycled paper)<br />
• Climate protecting polythene sheeting<br />
