Standard Three 9these staff have worked in their positions at <strong>Centralia</strong> for years and theirwork assignments may have changed to reflect increased services andresponsiveness to clients. Resumes are on file in the Personnel Office aswell as contained in <strong>Student</strong> <strong>Services</strong> department notebooks.<strong>College</strong> policy dictates that all administrative and exempt staff beevaluated every other year addressing the attainment of specific andmeasurable objectives established early in the academic year.Evaluations are expected to include a review of the job description,achievement of goals and objectives, and professional developmenttraining. Staff receive evaluative feedback from students, faculty, andstaff within their own and other units. These evaluations are on file in theoffices of personnel and the vice-president of student services.Tenured counselors who are part of <strong>Student</strong> <strong>Services</strong> are evaluated asfaculty members on a three-year cycle with feedback sought fromstudents and colleagues and reviewed by the vice president. Theseevaluations are on file in the Instruction Office.The position of director of admissions and records was evaluated in 1998-1999, and the job description and title were modified to reflect theincreased college emphasis on providing professional leadership inmarketing, recruiting, and outreach. The new director of enrollmentservices was hired at the end of spring quarter, 1999.More than half the student service directors and managers are new, sothe team has scheduled several social events as a beginning step inteam-building. The team also took on the task of developing a plan tohouse all student services in the <strong>Student</strong> Center in order to improve theoverall effectiveness of student services program delivery. This projecthas served as an effective team-building exercise. As a result, moststudent services will be co-located in the <strong>Student</strong> Center by the end ofsummer 2000.Within student services, resources are allocated by needs in a processfacilitated by the vice-president of student services and each departmentmanager. The vice-president consults with the Presidents Cabinet beforeallocating substantial amounts of contingency dollars. Within thedepartments, staff evaluations suggest that the work done in the 1997
