In manySouth-Eastern European countries the level of informationand communication technologies (ICT)in small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) isvery low. The competitiveness of South-EasternEuropean countries heavily depends on the productiveutilisation of information and communicationtechnologies (ICT) and the improvement ofrelated human skills.The project establishes easy-to-use e-learning-platformsi Raising awareness of the benefits of using ICTTRANSPORT & ITMEASURE 2.2The project aims at improving access to the knowledgeand information society of these SMEsthrough close co-operation of academic and businesscommunities at transnational level, by transferringknow-how from EU best-practice trainingand by developing national training strategies.Emphasis is given to SMEs from rural and peripheralareas in Albania, the Former Yugoslav Republicof Macedonia, Bulgaria and Serbia as beneficiarycountries.
