3.4 Use the analysis results to improve public health actionMake statements that describe the conclusions drawn from the analysis results. Use them to take action to:Conduct an investigation to find out where there is an increase in the number of cases. Refer to Section4 on how to investigate public health problems.Collaborate with specific disease reduction programmes to intensify surveillance if an alert thresholdhas been crossed.Advocate with political leaders and the community for more resources, if inadequate resources isidentified as a cause for the increased number of cases.
