CHAPTER 13SELECTIONThis chapter applies to all agencies even if another governmental entity isinvolved in the selection process. This chapter applies to the selection of swornpersonnel unless otherwise indicated. All agencies must comply with CriminalJustice Standards and Training Commission selection and backgroundguidelines, at a minimum, but each is encouraged to develop procedures specificto their agency.Selection standards must be job related, uniformly applied, and provide equalopportunity for all to compete.
