§ 65. The Victory of the Anti-Nicene Party in the East 345Holy Scriptures, teaches and says that there has been a time, aseason, or age, or being or becoming, be<strong>for</strong>e the Son of Godwas begotten, let him be accursed. And if any one says thatthe Son is a creature as one of the creatures, or generated asone of the things generated, or made as one of the things made,and not as the divine Scriptures have handed down each of the<strong>for</strong>enamed statements; or if a man teaches or preaches anythingelse contrary to what we have received, let him be accursed. Forwe truly and clearly both believe and follow all things from theHoly Scriptures that have been transmitted to us by the prophetsand Apostles.(d) Fourth Creed of Antioch, Socrates, Hist.
