A few handsome firswere distributed about, both s<strong>in</strong>gle and <strong>in</strong> clusters, at such regular<strong>in</strong>termediate distances, as<strong>to</strong> <strong>in</strong>duce a belief, that <strong>the</strong>y owed <strong>the</strong>ir dispositionra<strong>the</strong>r <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> hand <strong>of</strong> art than chance.
