For thisreason, listing companies can only respond toexisting items of requested information; they cannotadd their own items. Footnoting is not permitted inguide listings; companies instead may expand on orclarify information by providing copy for the appendix.Product Listings with Incomplete DataProduct manufacturers included in the guide areencouraged to provide NRCA with listing informationfor their products that is as complete as possible forpublication in the guide. Beginning with this edition ofthe guide, when manufacturers submit productinformation (e.g., test results) that is incomplete,these specific products have been omitted from thedetailed listing sections of the guide. Manufacturersand products with incomplete product listinginformation are included in a new section of theguide, entitled Section 6: Incomplete Data.NRCA has established this policy regardingmanufacturers’ product listings with incomplete dataat the request of users of the guide, who are clearlyseeking detailed and complete product informationfrom the guide and the companies listed.Users of the guide who are interested in specificproduct information on a manufacturer’s product thatis included in Section 6: Incomplete Data areencouraged to contact the product manufacturerdirectly.
