5.3.Start-up after StorageAn correct start-up of the engine will contribute to an effi cient <strong>and</strong> troublefree <strong>operation</strong> in the long term.Your STEYR MOTORS Marine Dealer will gladly be available as consultant or for an expert performance.1. Check condition of hoses <strong>and</strong> hose clamps.2. Clean battery terminals.ATTENTION: Connect RED cable to positive terminal <strong>and</strong> then BLACKcable to negative terminal. Wrong connection of battery terminals maydamage the electronic system.3. Grease outer sides of terminals.4. Hybrid Battery start upSee in Operation Manual of Hybrid Battery Manufacturer forrecommended start up process!5. Open fuel stop valve <strong>and</strong> check all fuel lines for leakage.6. Thoroughly check the boat <strong>and</strong> engine for slack or missing screws or nuts.7. Pump the bilge dry <strong>and</strong> clean the engine compartment.8. Complete the raw water system9.Open the raw water inlet to engine <strong>and</strong> Hybrid Cooling CircuitATTENTION: Insuffi cient raw water supply may damage the engine <strong>and</strong>the raw water pump.10. Test run. Start engine. Check from SCC alternator- voltage supply, oilpressure gauge, water temperature gauge of engine cooling system,HCU <strong>and</strong> E-MOTOR. Check Hybrid BATTERY- voltage gauge(Make sure that all sys¬tems function properly).11. Check all parts for oil-, fuel- or water leakage.- 74 -Z001045-0_1_March 2012
