SS Aquitania near harbour mouth silhouetted on orange sky,gigantic, four-funnelled, raised high out <strong>of</strong> the water as if she would assert herindependence, funnels sloping backward made her look like some monsterabout to spring; wonderful picture, that ship against orange sky.The tender was bringing on emigrants, shawled women, children in stripedgarments, men carrying bundles or little wooden chests, Czecho-Slovaks <strong>and</strong>other East European peoples.
