denticulata, Onychiurus armatus (Tullberg)is probably O. pseudovanderdrifti, Tul/bergiakrausbaueri (Borner) could be a numberof species, but hardly krausbaueri s. Rusek,Tetracanthel/a pilosa Schott is probably T.britannica. The true pilosa is only foundtwice in Norway (Troms, Fjellberg unpubl.).In addition Linnaniemi's record of Bourletiel/apruinosa should be verified. The speciesmight have been confused with bothpistillumGisin and hortensis (Fitch) which probablyboth occure in the area, although they werenot present in the material at hand.The above list counts 71 species. Furthercollections in the area will probably uncoversom 25-30 additional species which are likelyto be present in the area (Fjellberg1980).Most of the species on record are commonand have a wide distribution in Norway. Themore rare species are found in the alpine habitats:Willemia intermedia, Anurida alpina,Tullbergia arctica, Pseudanurophorus inoculatus,Proisotoma subarctica, Vertagopus sarekensis,V. arcticus, Sminthurinus concolor.All these alpine species are present i northNorway as well, and appear to be more abundantthere. Vertagopus arcticus is frequent inthe high mountains in Troms and Finnmark,descending nearly to sea level in the Varangerpeninsula.
