B 34, 94-95.Neoscona adianta (Walckenaer), Araniella opistographa(Kulszynski), Dipoena tristis (Hahn),Dictyna latens (Fabricius) and Clubiona diversaO. P. Cambridge are reported for the first time inNorway, Salticus zebraneus (C. L. Koch) is reportedfor the second time. Brief comments on thespecies' pattern of distribution are given.Erling Hauge, Zoological Museum, Museplass 3,University of Bergen, N-5000 Bergen, Norway.The examination of a small collection of spidersfrom south-eastern Norway has resulted in onespecies previously reported only once in Norwayand 5 species new to the country.The sampling methode has been with sweep net.The collector is Mr. Arild Fjeldsll., to whom I amvery thankful!.94The species are:Neoscona adianta (Walckenaer)At YE: Tj0me, Mostranda, 3 males and 3 femaleswere collected 2 July 1983 in a dry meadow. Thespecies is new to Norway.This is a palaearctic species (Roewer 1942)which is distributed far into the east (Proszynski &Starega 1971). A southern species in Britain (seeLocket & al. 1974). According to Braun & Rabeler(1969) and Maurer (1978) the species is absentfrom Northern Europe. However, it has been reportedfrom Denmark (B0ggild 1961, 1962), fromSouthern Sweden (Kronestedt 1983) and in theUSSR (Estonia) (Vilbaste 1972, 1980, 1981). It isabsent from the check list of Finland (Palmgren1977). Thus the species probably is close to itsnorthern limit of distribution in this Vestfold locality.A raniella opistographa (Kulczynski).One male was found together with the N. adiantaspecimens 20 Juli 1983, and is identified withreference to Locket & Millidge (1953, Text-fig.98B). Much more uncertain are 2 females caught14 July 1986 in a thicket ofPopulus tremula in thesame area as the males. The epigynes are, however,provided with a relatively long scaphus (seeLocket & a!. 1974)The species is distributed in England and MiddelEurope from Switzerland and Balkan north tothe USSR (Estonia) (Braun & Rabeler 1969,Braun 1969). In the Nordic countries it is restrictedto Southern Sweden (Holm 1977) and tosouth-eastern Finland (Palmgren 1974a). It haspreviously not been reported from Norway, butmay earlier have been confused with the very similarA. cucurbitina (Clerck).Dipoena tristis (Hahn).One female was found at AK: Oslo, Sandemll.sen(close to the border of Ski community) 6 July1983 on a turf moor.This is a species of Middle-Eastern and SoutheasternEurope, according to Roewer (1942). InEngland and Ireland it seems to be uncommon andrestricted to the southern parts (see Locket & al.1974). It has been reported once in Denmark (Larsen& B0ggild 1970), and also in the southernparts ofSweden (Kronestedt 1983). In Finland, onthe contrary, it seems to be quite common and isdistributed far north (Palmgren 1974b). The speciesis new to Norway.Dictyna latens (Fabricius).Two males were found at YE: Tj0me, Mostranda,20 July 1983 (together with N. adianta). The firstrecord in Norway.According to Roewer (1954) the species is widespreadin Europe. It is, however, in the Nordiccountries restricted to southern and south-easternparts of Sweden (Kronestedt 1983) and to thesouth-western corner of Finland (Palmgren 1977).Also in the British Isles the species has a southerndistribution. The northernmost record is in themost southern part of Scotland (see Locket & al.1974).Clubiona diversa O. P. Cambridge.One male was found at YE: Tj0me, Mostrands, 8July 1983 in a Phragmites-vegetation. The speciesis new to Norway.A European species, previously known north toNorthern Scotland (Locket & al. 1974), Denmark(B0ggild 1961, Larsen & B0ggild 1970), Southernand South-western Sweden (Kronestedt 1983)and close to the southern coast of Finland (Huhta1971, Palmgren 1977).Salticus zebraneus (c. L. Kock).One male was found at YE: Tj0me Moutmarka, 28June 1985, in a meadow with tall herbs.A south European species, according to Braun(1969). In England known only from the south-eastern areas (Locket & a!. 1974). It is reportedonce in Denmark (Zealand) (Larsen & B0ggild1970). In Sweden it is known (but obviouslysparse) in the southern areas north to S0dermannland(Tullgren 1944), which probably representedthe northern limit of distribution, together with aprevious report from SE Norway (Akershus)(Waaler 1967) and that from SE Finland (Karelen)(Palmgren 1977).REFERENCESBraun, R. 1969.
