They provide useful information onthe types of adaptation problem types whereAHP might be appropriate, as well as dataneeds, resource requirements and good practice.The approach is considered particularlyapplicable when assessing both quantitative andqualitative criteria, even those which are notdirectly comparable using conventional decisionsupport techniques. While promising, it isnecessary to understand the limitations of theapproach e.g. the evaluation and analysis canbecome more complicated the higher thenumber of options and criteria / sub-criteria thatare included.
