Of the 518 Islamic <strong>Education</strong> schools, 92% <strong>of</strong><br />

schools have toilet information. Total numbers<br />

<strong>of</strong> toilets in all provinces are 479, 92% are<br />

operational, 2% are modern non operational and<br />

6% are old non operational toilets.<br />

The school calendar in Afghanistan is based on<br />

three climatic conditions. They are:<br />

� Hot (warm) climate<br />

� Cold climate<br />

� Extreme cold climate<br />

Of the 518 Islamic <strong>Education</strong> schools, 72% are<br />

running in Cold Session, 18% are running in Hot<br />

Season and 3% are running in Coldest Season.<br />

The status <strong>of</strong> 7% <strong>of</strong> schools is unknown<br />

Of the 136,935 students, 79% are in Cold Season Enrolment, 20% are in Hot Season Enrolment and<br />

1% Coldest Season Enrolment.<br />
