98 Chapter 4 – Configuring and Calibrating the Spectrum Platesetter from the Brisque WorkstationConfiguring a Lotem Spectrum Halftone ProoferBefore configuring your platesetter as a Spectrum, you must first configureit as a Lotem 800 II / Lotem 800 II Quantum, and then as a LotemSpectrum platesetter.To configure your machine as a Lotem 800 II / Lotem Quantum, see Configuringand Calibrating the Lotem 800 II / Lotem Quantum Family from the BrisqueWorkstation on page 11.To check if a Lotem Spectrum halftone proofer is configured:1. In the Output Devices Handling window, click the arrow next to theHalftone Proof icon.2. Click the arrow next to the Lotem Spectrum icon. If a LotemSpectrum is configured, the connection to Brisque is displayed underthe Lotem Spectrum icon. The name is in green if it is the defaulthalftone proofer.Important: No more than one Lotem device is permitted.If the device is a Lotem dual purpose device, it is necessary to configure theplatesetter first.To configure a new Lotem Spectrum halftone proofer:1. To connect a new Lotem Spectrum click New.The following window appears:

From the Device Group list box select halftone Proof.The Device Family list box is labeled Lotem Spectrum. The DeviceModel list box is labeled Lotem 800 Quantum.4. In the TCP/IP address box, type the device address (for example:192.9.100.2).5. Click Next. The following appears.You can select Disabled from the Screen Board list box to operate witha single board.
