In spite <strong>of</strong> increasing economicuncertainties, international tourism grew by 4% in 2011 toreach 982 million travellers. In 2012, UNWTO estimates thatone billion tourists will travel the world in a single year.Yet many obstacles still remain that limit the growth <strong>of</strong>the tourism sector and its immense capacity to createeconomic prosperity and jobs.
