Service key 1Key to front door, ignition switch andsteering wheel lock.The car is delivered with two master keysand one service key 1 . One of the master keysis collapsible and equipped with an integratedremote control.If you lose one of your keys, you must take allother keys to an authorised <strong>Volvo</strong> workshop.As a crime prevention measure, the code ofthe lost key is erased from the system. At thesame time, the other keys must be re-codedin the system.The key blades’ unique code is available atauthorised <strong>Volvo</strong> workshops, who can ordernew key blades.A maximum of six remote controls/keyblades can be programmed and used for onesingle car.NOTEThe master key blade (1) must be fully extended(as illustrated) when starting the car.Otherwise there is a risk that the immobiliserfunction will prevent the car from starting.Ignition keys and electronic immobiliserThe ignition key must not hang with otherkeys or metal objects on the same key ring.The electronic immobiliser could be activatederroneously and the car will not start.OImmobiliserThe keys are equipped with coded chips.This code must match the reader in the ignitionswitch. The car can only be started if thecorrect key with the correct code is used.1 Certain markets only100
