05 Locks and alarmKeys and remote controlsRemote control functionsSNOPPanic alarm functionThe panic alarm function can be used to attractattention in the event of an emergency.If the red button (3) is held depressed for atleast three seconds or is pressed twice in ashort period of time, the direction indicatorsand horn are triggered. The panic alarm isdeactivated automatically after 25 secondsor by pressing any of the buttons on the remotecontrol.Folding/opening keyThe key can be folded by pressing button (6)while folding the key blade into the keypad.The folding key will open automatically withone press of the button.RQ1. Folding/opening the keyUnlocking– Press the button (1) once to unlock alldoors, the tailgate and the fuel filler flapsimultaneously.Tailgate– Press the button (2) once to unlock thetailgate only.Approach lightingDo the following when you approach the car:– Press the yellow button (4) on the remotecontrol.The interior lighting, position/parking lamps,number plate lighting, door mirror lamps (option)will now switch on. The lighting on acoupled trailer will also switch on. Theselamps remain lit for 30, 60 or 90 seconds. Anauthorised Volvo workshop can select a suitabletime setting.To extinguish the approach lighting:– Press the yellow button again.LockingLock all doors, tailgate and fuel filler flap withbutton (5). There is a delay of approx.10 minutes for the fuel filler flap.05101
