This also appliesto anyone shorter than 140 cm.Deactivated airbag (passenger seat):No one taller than 140 cm should ever sit inthe front passenger seat when the airbag isdeactivated.Failure to follow the advice given above canendanger life.Indicator showing that the passenger airbag(SRS) is deactivated.The airbag (SRS) for the front passenger seatcan be deactivated using a switch. This isnecessary if a child seat is to be fitted therefor example.IndicatorA text message on the roof panel indicatesthat the passenger airbag (SRS) isdeactivated.Switch for PACOS (Passenger Airbag Cut OffSwitch).The switch is located on the passenger endof the dashboard and is accessible when thepassenger door is open. Check that theswitch is in the required position. <strong>Volvo</strong> recommendsthat that the ignition key is used tochange position. (Other items with a shapesimilar to a key can be used).WARNINGIf the car is equipped with a front passengerairbag (SRS), but does not have PACOS,the airbag will always be activated.19
